Math Teacher

The Prout School is seeking a dynamic educator to serve as math beginning Academic Year 2017-2018. Prout is a Catholic co-educational high school founded in 1966 and operated under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence.  Among its many distinctions, Prout is the only International Baccalaureate World School in Rhode Island and is among only a handful of Catholic schools throughout the country with this distinction.

The Prout School seeks a full-time math teacher to teach the full range of our math curricula, ranging from college prep Algebra I to Calculus AB/BC.  The candidate should be familiar with technology appropriate for math classes.  The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field, with additional degree/s preferred.  We prefer candidates with at least 2 years teaching experience. The candidate should possess a sound knowledge of and commitment to Catholic education.

English Teacher

The Prout School seeks a full-time English teacher with at least three years’ experience, to teach the full range of our English curriculum, ranging from grade 9 to International Baccalaureate courses.  The candidate should be familiar with writing initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree, with additional degree/s preferred.  The candidate should possess a sound knowledge of and commitment to Catholic education.

Dance Teacher

Job Description: Dance Teacher - Part-time (Possible full time if qualified/willing to teach yoga classes)


The Prout School, located in Wakefield, Rhode Island, is seeking a dynamic educator to serve as a Dance teacher beginning Academic Year 2017-2018.  Prout is a Catholic co-educational high school founded in 1966 and operated under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence.  Among its many distinctions, Prout is the only International Baccalaureate World School in Rhode Island and is among only a handful of Catholic schools throughout the country with this distinction.

The Prout School seeks a part-time dance teacher to teach  Vaganova ballet based technique courses to all levels, beginner through advanced.  Choreograph semester dance concerts and other events upon request of Arts Department Chair. This position could be a possible full time if candidate is qualified/willing to teach yoga classes.

Qualifications candidates should possess a strong classical ballet background and knowledge of specific classical ballet curriculum such as Vaganova, RAD and Cecchetti, etc.  A background in modern and/or  contemporary dance  technique such as Horton, Graham, Limon etc. Teaching experience in a high school setting.  A team player who can collaborate with the department chair and other arts faculty in building a culture of seriousness and professionalism in the department.  Self-motivated and ability to take responsibility. Commitment to the arts as an important element in a complete education.

Preferred knowledge and experience in development sequential ballet curriculum from beginning level to advanced level. Professional experience as a ballet dancer.  Experience (or ability to) in setting classical ballet repertoire and/or choreographing contemporary ballet.  Bachelor’s degree (transcript required). (Qualifications Required for yoga certification as an instructor from an accredited yoga school)
