The Admissions Process

Though we cannot currently invite families in for a tour or a shadow visit with students, we are still happy to provide you with informative materials on academics, sports and extracurricular activities and answer any questions about The Prout School experience.

The on-line application process is still open. We are processing applications for students in the Class of 2024 and transfers in the upper grades. Click here to set up your on-line account to apply for admission. The portal will guide you through the following steps required to apply:

Register for the High School Placement Test.

We are currently suspending the requirement for incoming 9th graders to take the HSPT due to the safety concerns surrounding Covid-19.

All 9th grade applicants must take the Catholic High School Placement Test (HSPT) in order to be considered for acceptance. Transfer students do not need to take the exam.

Provide two email addresses for recommendations from your school. Recommendations must be submitted to Prout directly by the teacher/ guidance counselor to ensure confidentiality.

Release records from the school the student is currently attending. The Prout School admissions office will submit your records release form to your current school. Your transcript should come from the Guidance Office.

You can check the status of your forms and your application using your on-line account.
