The Admissions Process 

Though we cannot currently invite families in for a tour or a shadow visit with students, we are still happy to provide you with informative materials on academics, sports and extracurricular activities and answer any questions about The Prout School experience.

 

The on-line application process is also still open and we are processing applications for students in the Class of 2024 and transfers in the upper grades. Please contact Sharon DeLuca, at sdeluca@theproutschool.org or at (401) 789-9262 x 514.

Register on-line for the entrance exam All 9th grade applicants must take the Catholic High School Entrance Test (HSPT) in order to be considered for acceptance. Transfer students do not require the exam. If students have not taken the HSPT they can make arrangements for a make-up date. For more details on the HSPT, click here

You may make an individual appointment to take the test at another time by contacting Sharon DeLuca to schedule an appointment to take the test at The Prout School (phone: (401) 789-9262, Ext 514 or email at sdeluca@theproutschool.org)

Please provide two email addresses for recommendations from your school. Click here to provide an email in the application for your school's contact. Recommendations must be submitted to Prout directly by the teacher/ guidance counselor to ensure confidentiality.

Release records from the school the student is currently attending. The Prout School admissions office will submit your records release form to your current school. Your transcript should come from the Guidance Office.  Click here to submit the form to allow Prout to request your records through your on-line account.

You can check the status of your forms and your application using your on-line account.
