The girls softball team improves to 12 - 2 on the regular season winning 10 - 0 at East Greenwich yesterday.  The game was shortened to 5 innings because of the mercy rule but Vanessa Oatley pitched a perfect game retiring all 15 batters she faced, striking out 11.  Colby Crosby lead the way with 3 hits and 3 RBI and Payton Raftery Smith had 1 hit, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.

The boys lacrosse team won at Burrillville 13 - 8 qualifying them for the playoffs.  Dan Caramadre had 4 goals/1 assist, Jake Moniz and Charlie Madeira both had 2 goals/3 assists, Zach Bell had 2 goals/2 assists, Connor Bois 2 goals/1 assist and Colin Bois 1 goal/1 assist.  Brendon Madeira recorded 14 saves in goal.

The baseball team lost at home to Burrillville 5 - 3.  Nick Caruolo had 2 RBI’s and Kyle Hart went 2-3 with an RBI and scored a run.

Already in the playoffs the girls lacrosse team lost to first place Mt. Hope in a close game from start to finish 13 - 11.  Stella Mayo scored 3 goals/2 assists, Abby Chapel had 3 goals/1 assist, Sinead Maron added 2 goals/1 assist, Aailiyah Capalbo scored once and Annie Alofsin had 13 saves in goal.

At the Class Meet, the girls outdoor track team had some first place finishes.  Sarah Mitchell took first in both the shot and discus, Victoria Thurley, Helene Cumming and Allison Slitt finished 1st, 2nd and 5th respectively in the 800, Caleigh Caruolo took 4th in the 400 and the 4 X 400 relay team of Meghan Williams, Sophia Mayo, Allison Slitt and Victoria Thurley finished 5th.


On the boys side two school records were broken:  Bobby Psilos in the 400 with his 5th place finish and the 4 X 100 relay team of Mike Antonellis, Patrick Shoren, Bobby Psilos and Zach Chofay with their 4th place finish.  Corey Gosciminski took 5th in the hammer and the 4 X 400 relay team of Antonellis, Shoren, Forest Sancomb and Jack Chausse finished 5th as well.

Games today:  at Newport Country Club the girls will compete for the individual State Title with Addy Douglas teeing off at 10:00, Emily Trainor at 10:24 and Sarah Walsh at 10:32, the tennis team will begin quarterfinals play hosting Ponagansett at 4:00 and the baseball team will host Narragansett at 3:45.
