Graphic Design

In this course students will analyze, convey and interpret the various aspects of graphic design. Basic design elements and principles will be taught and implemented to create a strong foundation upon which to build. Adobe Illustrator will be the primary tool used to create artwork in this course. An emphasis on the importance of aesthetics when beginning a new project will be discussed and utilized. Successful graphic design is achieved when there is a combination of function/ purpose and creativity. Example of such graphic design will be analyzed and critiqued. Students will become more aware of the fact that graphic design is ever-present in today's society.
