In this introduction to drawing, students will build upon the foundation in the design elements and principles which were learned in Introduction to Art. Students will experiment and become proficient with the use of various drawing media. There will be an emphasis on capturing the truth of reality through seeing and avoiding the tendency to use symbols. The presence of aesthetics and art criticism will as always be used to interpret and analyze artworks of their own and other artists throughout history and cultures.
