Prerequisite: Successful Completion of Honors Tenth Grade English, Acceptance into the IB Program, and/or Teacher Recommendation
IB English 11 is the first year of a two year higher level IB course. It is designed to fulfill the World Literature and Groups of Works components of the International Baccalaureate curriculum. Students explore the concepts and meaning of culture
All IB English 11 students write two World Literature papers utilizing the externally assessed IB rubric. In addition, they also complete a unit on the research process, which culminates in their writing a fourteen to sixteen page analytical paper.
