Ria Carroll - Physical Education/Health
B.S. Kinesiology/ Nutrition, University of Rhode Island

Born in Luton, England, Ria Carroll has spent the last twenty years of her life in Rhode Island before arriving with us at The Prout School. She has been involved in the sport of soccer in numerous capacities ranging from participation to recruiting and most recently coaching our very own Women’s Soccer Team. Upon graduation from Warwick’s Toll Gate High School, Ria began college at New York’s Pace University. While at Pace, Ria played on the Women’s Soccer Team breaking several team and individual records and collected numerous accolades along the way including 2003- NSCAA/Adidas Division II All-New England, NSCAA All-Region Second Team, ECAC Goalkeeper of the year, NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Year (‘02-‘03), Freshman of the Year (‘02), four-time NE-10 Player of the Month as well as Athlete of the Month and Secret Deodorant Athlete of the year (Rhode Island).

After a year and a half stay at Pace, Ria transferred to the University of Rhode Island graduating with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Nutrition. Ria appeared on the Dean’s List while in attendance at URI, but was most notable for her participation on the Women’s Soccer Team. As a starter, she garnished awards such as All-Tournament and All-Conference Teams, while also making the Atlantic 10 Conference Finals two years in a row. Since her graduation, Ria has coached at the collegiate level taking the roll of Assistant Coach at both Bryant University and Providence College respectively. Her interests include music, sports, and coaching, as well as volunteering for various events such as The Special Olympics.

Ron Renzi
BS, Physical Education, Lyndon State College

Mr. Renzi came to Prout in 2001 and teaches Physical Education and Health Classes.
