Basic Instrumental Instruction
Grades 9-12
Prerequisites: Student must have their own instrument or consult the instructor to make arrangements.
This class will cover the basics of learning any instrument other than guitar. (See guitar I/II course descriptions) Performance and elements of music: harmony, rhythm, melody and form. Students will also learn scales, sight-reading, transposition, basic technique and how to play solo and ensemble literature of contrasting musical genres.
