Mary Hoyt - Director of Guidance/English

Ms. Hoyt has spent her entire teaching career, a total of 29 years, at The Prout School. In addition to directing our guidance department, she also teaches our IB level English class. Ms. Hoyt also instructs at the graduate level at the University of Rhode Island. She is a member of Amnesty International-Freedom Writers, RI Reading Association and the International Reading Association.
William A. Lepre - Sophomore Guidance
M. Ed., Guidance, Providence College
Mr. Lepre spent over 25 years in the Providence School Department, working as a teacher, coach, counselor and truant officer. He was also Director of Guidance at Our Lady of Fatima High School from 1997-2002.
Linda Price - Freshmen Guidance

Ms. Price came to Prout in 1996 after spending much time working in the area of bereavement counseling. She has spent over 20 years in junior high classrooms, teaching music and religion, as a private flute instructor, as a director of elementary and junior high school musicals, and as the Coordinator of Elementary Music for the Diocese of Buffalo (NY). Ms. Price holds certificates in Spiritual Direction and Biblical Studies and is a member of the American Counseling Association and the National Pastoral Musicians Association. Ms. Price is also an adjunct faculty member at Salve Regina University. Her hobbies include music, reading, photography, needle crafts, and art. Ms. Price is also working on a recording project that incorporates music in healing.
Raymond Xavier - Junior Guidance

After college he worked for many years as a juvenile probation officer before returning to graduate school. Mr. Xavier received an M.S. degree in Guidance and Counseling from U.R.I. and also became a Certified Alcohol Counselor (CAC). Mr. Xavier then worked for many years as a Guidance Counselor in the public schools. After working in the public schools Mr.Xavier worked in one of our local colleges as an admissions officer.
