The Application Process

The on-line application process for the Class of 2029 and transfer students for the fall of 2025 is open. Click here to set up your on-line account to apply for admission. The portal will guide you through the following steps required to apply:

  • Register for the High School Placement Test. All 9th grade applicants must take the Catholic High School Placement Test (HSPT) in order to be considered for acceptance. The HSPT will be administered on December 7 and December 14, 2024. You may select either of those dates. Transfer students do not need to take the HSPT. Check-in for the test will take place between 8:10 and 8:20 am. The test will begin at 8:30 am and will last approximately 3.5 hours.

  • Provide two email addresses for recommendations from your school in the Application for Admission. Recommendations must be submitted to Prout directly by the teacher/ guidance counselor to ensure confidentiality.

  • Release records from the school the student is currently attending. The Prout School admissions office will submit your Transcript Release form to your current school. Your transcript should come from the Guidance Office.

You can check the status of your forms and your application using your on-line account.

The Prout School does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, religious beliefs or ethnic origin.
